How we handle information you share for the PayDay launch game and waitlist on https://thepaydayapp.com.
What we collect
For the launch game and waitlist we collect: name, email, country, display name, scores and combos, play time, referral/invite codes you use or share, share/copy counts, and a session cookie so we can remember you on this device. We may also collect basic technical/usage data via hosting and analytics tools (for example Google Analytics if enabled). This site does not collect product account data such as invoices, clients, expenses, time entries, or payment details.
Bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile)
When you register for the launch game, we use Cloudflare Turnstile in invisible mode to help distinguish people from bots and reduce automated abuse. Cloudflare processes limited technical signals (such as IP address, TLS fingerprint, user agent, and site key / origin) for that purpose. How we use it
To run the launch competition and leaderboard, track referrals and abuse, email you about the game and PayDay updates, operate and secure the waitlist experience, and improve this marketing site. Leaderboard fields that may be public: display name, country, best score, best combo, share/invite stats, and play time. We do not sell or rent your personal data.
Cookies & local storage
Essential: we use a session cookie (payday_launch_session) so you can stay signed into the launch game on this browser. This does not require analytics consent. Optional: if you Accept analytics in the cookie banner, we load Google Analytics (when configured) to understand usage. You can Reject and still play. We may also use local or session storage for preferences (such as sound) and pending invite codes from share links (?ref=).
Service providers
We use trusted processors to run the waitlist and launch game, including hosting (Vercel), database infrastructure (Supabase), email (Resend), bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile), and analytics providers noted above. They process data on our instructions to provide those services.
By registering you agree we may email you about the launch game, your score/invite, and PayDay updates. You can unsubscribe from these emails at any time using the link in the email footer (or your email client’s unsubscribe control). Unsubscribing ends further launch/waitlist emails and, under our Terms of Service, ends eligibility for the lifetime membership prize. Transactional messages required for security or account issues may still be sent when needed.
Your data
You can request access, export, or deletion of your waitlist/game data by emailing info@thepaydayapp.com. We will respond within a reasonable time, subject to legal retention needs (for example fraud prevention or prize verification).
Product launch
When the PayDay product becomes available, we will publish updated privacy terms covering product accounts before those features collect additional data.
